I WANT THIS TO BE A COMMUNITY THING - GALLERIES, FORUMS, CONTENT - I WANT THIS TO BE ABOUT YOU. BECAUSE I SAID SO. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BECOMING INVOLVED, CONTACT ME - SEND ME YOUR IDEAS. I REALLY WANT THIS TO BE A REGULARLY UPDATED EFFORT - all my effort, though. I'm not asking you to put forth a crapload of effort when I know none of you have that option. I get too excited and then things never happen. I'LL SEE YOU ALL THIS TIME NEXT YEAR! 13 December, 2004 I REALLY WANT TO CHANGE MY HEADER GRAPHIC. Whay haven't I? Emmm...I'm busy, I'm lazy, AAAAND my trial of my favorite photoshop ran out quite a while back, which is a good reason as to why the site slowed down CONSIDERABLY from that moment on. That and you suckers lost interest shortly after it all began. The contest was a bust. As I did receive many verbal entries, many people talked to me about what I was looking for, and I was asked a number of times about details - - no entries were submitted electronically, and therefore - PPHHHHHHFFFFFFT. Down with it all. Okay, so maybe I've been exaggerating a wee bit. My brother Ryan sent me some photoshop type things that I will be getting more heavily into over Christmas break - hopefully during or after that time there will be a ceremonial revamping of this site. Until said point, you are just going to have to overlook some things and get on with your life. JUST IGNORE THE ABOVE GRAPHIC! JUST DO IT! FINALS WEEK! I finished and turned in my FINAL for color and design last week - finishing that buggar off involved an all nighter and my body rejecting my every decision - which LATER led to me collapsing on my big ass bed and almost sleeping through my PALEO LAB FINAL. THAT ONE SUCKED> we were given 100 samples from over the entire semester and we had to specifically ID them...WHAT made them think this would go over well? What I mean is that our midterm was the same kind of thing - with only 50 samples and nearly 75% (rough estimate) failed the exam. I did not fail, I did well considering I thought I had failed. Our TA, the girl who teaches our lab class, wasn't well with this idea, nor was the class...but our lecture professor seemed to think that it would be PEACHY KEEN to make us take this - CAUSE WE OBVIOUSLY ARE AS ALL-KNOWING AS HE IS WHEN IT COMES TO DEAD THINGS IN ROCKS. It was a dumb idea, and there really was no way to study for it. How was this a good idea? I have three finals...well - two left, anyway. I took my music theory final this morning, and I thought it was pretty easy. Very happy for that, considering the rest of my week is sure to be HELL. I AM GOING TO LET YOU IN ON A LITTLE SECRET...I have a 5-8 page paper that i resent being assigned and haven't gotten really into due to my...rebellious...nature. I don't care for the professor's philosophies of teaching, nor do I care for the assignment. Perhaps this isn't the best way of going about fighting the man...but whitey's gotta' know I won't take his shit no more. sidenote: added some art pictures (bottom right) 12 October, 2004 Apparently no one visits anymore. I suppose I need more interactive things... Maybe that's all up and coming. Changes are underway, both visual and in content, for this webniche. I plan on doing something with it eventually, as to what I haven't quite decided. In my life things have been going swell here at OSU. Moved into the apartment, been attending as many classes I can catch the bus for, and just toda I declared my major. Things are definitely changing. Do you know what I want to do? I want to be an illustrator, do some story boarding, work with animation, have my own bloody cartoon. I want to rule the world and do everything, but I suppose I'll have to start with this. I'll survive...as far as I know, anyway. P S - - If anyone wants to get on my good side and has some extra cash weighing them down, I would absolutely love a new paintshop, seeing as how mine...expired...and I have this terrible desire to redo many of my graphics on this page, but do not have the resources or means. I need to know some statistical things for future changes. 25 JUNE, 2004 Wow, I really fell on my ass on that last one huh... once a month posting...almost three months ago. Hehehe - maybe it was a really dumb april fools' joke...oh I suck. Anyway, it is summer and i'm working myself to death. Many jobs, many extra-curricular things, many changes in life. I've started going to this dance class - west coast swing, it's wicked fun and i HIGHLY recommend it. Yes, I am teaching preschool again this year, but this time I'm not in just one class - I play the role of "enabler" which means I am in every classroom at their most difficult or busy times. As horrible as it may sound - or not, whatever - it's actually quite lovely! I get to hang out with TONS of different kids of all ages - AND I LOVE IT!! Not that I didn't love my job before, but now I get to know all of the kids, and it's so much more interesting and I feel much more important... well I feel more important than I used to. Anyway, apart from that fun chunk of my time I'm also nannying every weekday till fivie-ish. So, basically, I have lots of little kiddie time...and as much as i love it...I'm always the suspicious one...and in the back of my mind I wonder in a paranoid way, but never seriously, if this is God's kind way of saying I'm never going to have children, so he'll let me spend all my time with other peopls' kids. Okay, thought gone, moving on. I haven't added anything different just yet. I would wait for more following before putting lots and lots of effort into this - but I realize that there will never be more than four or so people who ever look to see if this has been edited...so I PROMISE next time I will add a MAZES PAGE and MANY MANY MANY more pictures. Time is such an abstract concept. Something we created, in essence, and have - over time - enslaved ourselves through it, to it. The Dakota Souix (which apperently wasn't their tribe name, it was what a neighboring tribe called them - meaning ENEMY - stupid white people.. stupid... ancestors .. of mine... ) do not have this standard or mapping of time. Their concept of the passage of time is a much more natural and logical concept. Not that I'm saying DOWN WITH TIME or anything - I just thought I might share this with you: the Souix remember events - that is what marks their mental calendars. No numbers, nothing at all abstract, just actual events - like (hypothetical) when Joe Bob was killed, or Mary Sue saved Leonard's life - events that everyone remembers marks their passage of time. Seasons, months, weeks, days, minutes, seconds - all series of moments that never cease yet don't exist and only serve to hinder us in ways we cannot help but be effected > we are constantly aware of TIME - how every second we grow older - closer to an appointment - farther from memories - nearer to the unknown - and all the while bombarded and overwhelmed by the tick TICK TICKING of time EVER-PRESSING ONWARDS. TOKSA - living life from event to event - until we see each other again - by and by - easy breezey carefree coverg-.. emm.. anyway - I just ran across this today and thought how time runs our lives.
